Come & Find UsThe Lorax Patch is a Permaculture smallholding just outside Wells in Somerset. We do everything on a deliciously small scale — growing food, raising animals, and offering basic camping for tents and campervans.
We believe that the quieter and simpler life is often the richest. Come and spend time with us, breathe the Somerset air, and remember what matters.

Seasonal vegetables and fruit grown using Permaculture principles — working with the land, not against it.
Our animals live good lives here. We generally have Chickens, Sheep, Pigs, Pygmy Goats and Turkeys — part of the ecosystem, not just the farm.
Basic, beautiful camping for tents and campervans. No bells and whistles — just quiet countryside, campfires, and the stars above.
Our incredibly high-spec shepherd's hut offers a luxurious year-round escape. A second glamping unit is coming in 2026 — watch this space.
